Swale pit at Martlesham
The BT Research Angling Club provides facilities and runs matches for freshwater, sea and boat (sea) anglers.
Coarse fishing
Members of the freshwater section can fish the club water, Swale Pit, which is located behind Adastral Park and can be accessed from the Waldringfield road.
Swale Pit is stocked with carp to 20+lbs, bream, tench, perch, chub, roach and rudd.
Matches are generally fished on Sundays throughout the summer.
Sea fishing
The sea section runs a series of matches throughout the winter months from local venues including Orfordness.
Boat sea fishing
The boat section arranges on average eight boat trips per year out of Levington Marina on the Phillip 'F'.
Membership
Membership of the club runs From March 1st to February 28th. Renewals are sent out at the beginning of February.
Currently the club has reached capacity on Membership but applications to join the club's waiting list are accepted from March for places not taken up by current members.
